Apple's new slimmer iPad Air lunched Today

Apple's latest tablet called the iPad Air that is 20% thinner than the previous version is in market today. Apple claim to a thinner, faster flagship tablet and a smaller model with a high resolution screen. It is expected Google's Android is about to overtake Apple's iOS as the bestselling tablet platform.

It is 9.7-inch tablet called iPad Air. It weighs 1 pound — 28% lighter than the previous mode — and is 20% thinner. It has A7 chip, a new camera, dual microphones and comes in silver or space gray. It costs $399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model, while a cellular version starts at $529.

"These new iPads underline Apple's dominance of the premium tablet market," said Ben Wood, chief of research at CCS Insight.
